Course Description
Our Self-Esteem Workshops empower teens to build confidence, embrace self-acceptance, and develop a positive self-image. Through interactive activities and guided reflection, participants will learn to recognize their strengths, challenge negative self-talk, and understand how self-esteem impacts their relationships and goals. This supportive workshop equips teens with practical tools to foster a healthier self-view and a stronger, more resilient mindset.
Course Overview
-
In this first class, teens will get to know their teacher, their peers, and themselves. Teens will explore what makes them unique by identifying their core values, interests, and strengths. Through guided self-reflection, they’ll learn to differentiate between their authentic selves and the often critical inner voice that can impact self-esteem. By gaining clarity on who they are at their core, teens will start building a foundation of self-acceptance and self-understanding that supports positive growth.
-
Teens will dive into the origins and role of their inner critic, exploring how this inner voice was shaped and what messages it tends to communicate. Through self-reflection and interactive exercises, they’ll learn to recognize when their inner critic is at play and understand how it influences their thoughts and self-image. By bringing awareness to these patterns, teens can begin to challenge unhelpful thoughts and foster a kinder, more supportive inner dialogue.
-
Teens will learn proven techniques to manage and quiet their inner critic, using tools grounded in psychology and neuroscience. They’ll practice strategies like cognitive reframing, mindfulness, and self-compassion exercises to replace negative self-talk with constructive and positive thoughts. Equipped with these powerful tools, teens will leave with practical skills to build lasting self-confidence and foster a healthier, more resilient mindset.
-
In this final class, teens will focus on building a healthy, accepting relationship with themselves and their bodies. Through reflective exercises and body-positive practices, they’ll learn to challenge unrealistic standards, appreciate their unique qualities, and cultivate self-compassion. Teens will gain strategies for befriending themselves, embracing imperfections, and fostering a mindset of self-kindness that supports lifelong confidence and inner peace.
